Signs You Need A New Water Heater

Are you wondering if you should invest in a new water heater? There are many things you can keep an eye out for to determine if it’s time to take that step. Hot water is a luxury, and one that you would surely miss if it were gone—so you don’t want to wait until your water heater stops working to schedule a replacement.
While many water heater issues can be fixed with standard repair services, there are instances where you’ll need to replace your unit with a new one. To distinguish the difference between whether you’ll need a repair or a replacement, make sure to pay attention to these signs that your water heater may be at the end of its lifespan:
You’ve had your water heater for more than 10 years.
While water heaters do tend to last for around a decade, they do not often last much longer than that. If you’ve owned your water heater for more than 10 years, that is a sure sign that you’re due for a replacement.
You notice rusted or worn-down valves.
While water heaters are built to be resistant to water corrosion, they are not invincible. If you begin to see rust or mineral build up on the valves and pipes of your water heater, odds are it is experiencing interior and exterior corrosion, and it’s best to have a new water heater installed.
You experience frequent leaks.
When you look at and around your water heater, do you notice any water marks or puddles? If so, it may be leaking. Water should never be visible when you look at your heater, and leaks may be indicative of a larger problem as it can mean that your water supply is being contaminated.
Your water heater makes banging or rumbling noises.
If your water heater is making loud noises, sediment may be built up inside of it. This obstruction can cause your unit to make banging and rumbling noises during the heating process. While a small amount of buildup can often be resolved with quick repair service, repairs may not be sufficient if there is an extensive amount of buildup in your unit that has been there for a long time. In these instances, a replacement may be necessary.
Your home’s water supply won’t warm up.
This a surefire sign that your water heater is not operating as it should. If you attempt to take a hot shower or try to do laundry and you notice that your water supply stays cold, it may be time to call your local water experts for a new heater.

From what I saw in the beginning and the end, there was a huge difference. It was a job well done. It worth my time and money. And everyone should give it a try.
Excellent company, thorough, responsive, and all around amazing!! I'm so happy with my new A/C unit, attic turbine, and solar hot water heater. It has already saved me money on my electric bill.
The experience with all aspects from the presentation to installation and inspection was great. Glenn who presented was kind, informative and extremely helpful in finding the right system for us. The installer Robinson was extremely professional with the installation did a great job and John was also great in explaining the finance and perks!! Overall 10/10
This company worked very hard to remove my very old water heater. They did an excellent job installing my new one. Very professional, and kind. Willing to answer my questions also. Thank you.
Tony, the technician/plumber from Florida Energy Water & Air, was most pleasant, knowledgeable, professional. He arrived on completed the replacement of very old water heater including nearly 100% disappearance of the "knocking noise" in less than an hour, and cleaned up the work area very nicely at the end. I highly recommend his and FEWA to anyone needing these kind of services. Thanks Tony!
My experience with the team at Florida Energy Water & Air has been very positive throughout the whole process. I purchased the water treatment and air purification systems for my new home. Jack, the sales representative, did a very impressive job making the 2-hour demo fun, engaging, and interesting. I had no idea how much time had passed until it was over because he did such a great job keeping my attention. The installation was performed by Robenson a few hours later that same day! He was very professional and did a great job with the installation. I wasn’t a big fan of drilling a hole through my garage to run the water pipe, but he made the hole as small as possible and it looks like the house was built that way. He and his partner did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Finally, John was very friendly, professional, informative, and helpful during the post-installation quality inspection. Overall, it has been a very positive experience.
Great customer service. Jean Amaro was especially helpful and took care of my issues and concerns personally. Technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend their services.
